Meadow Cottage – the facilities
Meadow Cottage is ideally suited to those with differing abilities, the cottage is accessed into the large kitchen by a single step, and a ramp is available. The kitchen, large lounge/dining room, bathroom and main bedroom are all on one level making for easy access. The second and third bedrooms are twin rooms accessed by two small steps. The cottage is very warm having double glazing and full oil fired central heating. See below for a floorplan of the cottage.
The large kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, iron and toaster.
The lounge/dining room is particularly spacious, having comfortable seating and a very large dining table and chairs. For extra heat there is an electric real flame log stove and a portable television, DVD player, radio/CD player are available.
The master bedroom is also large having matching pine furniture. The second bedroom is also a good size and has two single beds that can be made into a double. The third bedroom has two single divan beds, bed linen and towels are included. The bathroom is spacious having a full bathroom suite with an electric shower over the bath. A shaving socket and light are positioned above the sink.
This delightful holiday cottage is completely surrounded by fields,hedgerows and a wide variety of typically english trees. The access drive is over two fields, so is private giving safety for children and security for your vehicles. Safe off road parking for many cars is therefore available. The cottage overlooks an orchard, there is a large grassed area to the rear, which may be used. A stream is adjacent to this, but is fenced.There is another grassed area to the side of the cottage offering seating and a BBQ this is particularly ideal for sitting and playing, as this area catches the sun dawn til dusk.
It is possible to look over a section of the Weaver hills from the door way and you are very welcome to walk over the 21 acres of land and over the surrounding fields following the public footpaths.
Being situated in a peaceful, quite location it is really possible to hear the sounds of nature, the birds sing beautifully. Foxes, rabbits, squirrels, hares, badgers, pheasants, owls, heron are just a few to be seen on the doorstep. It is possible to enjoy a star light walk. Children are very welcome as is one pet.
